Unisex T-Shirt. This has been a really fun piece for me, for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it a homage to my most infulential artist of all time. The work of Vernon Courtland Johnson ( or VCJ) was what initally inspired me to actually try to get better at art/drawing. I’d alway’s scribbled, but it was him that made me think that I wanted to do it as well as I humanly could. I’d skate for an hour to the local skate shop, and just stare at the boards, asking the shop assistant to take the boards down off the rack so I could drool over them. I was blown away by VCJ’s work, they made me giddy with excitement, and I’d get all amped up and go skate for the rest of the day. Never had I experience something like that before. Art that made me nervous, happy and full of energy all in one hit.
