Unisex T-Shirt. I never mean to exploit a political situation, which is why I’ve stayed far, far away from any politically-charged design thus far. Never mistake this for an unwillingness to speak up, however. So when Mitch McConnell addressed Elizabeth Warren’s right and duty to speak up against civil rights abuses and did it by saying that “Nevertheless, she persisted” – it was all a bit too much for me. I leapt out of bed, grabbed my tablet and my mouse, and went to town on this design. Because this feels oddly like a logline to encompass the last year or two of mine and many other girls’ and women’s lives. It was only ever intended as a tool for venting my frustrations and sublimating them into creativity after a particularly difficult day. But at my friends’ request – here it is for the general public, too. Enjoy.
