We all know that waffles are superior to pancakes; after all, their increased surface area exposes more of the waffle to the heat from the iron, giving it that delectable “crunch.” But, just what is the surface area of a waffle? How does one calculate the surface area? A Regular Waffle, much like any regular polygon, has a set of mathematical relations that allow one to discover the surface area of the wonderful breakfast item. All equations were developed by myself, and the design is in honor of my Physics teacher and his undying love of waffles.
